QWhat is an Eyelash Extension?
Eyelash Extensions are semi-permanent eyelashes. A thin, naturally curled synthetic eyelash is applied to each individual lash one by one using a special glue. The result is a natural extension to your lashes that will be amazing. You won’t believe your eyes!!
QHow long will an Eyelash Extension last?
The look can be maintained indefinitely with refills.
Natural eyelash grow cycles are every 60 to 90 days. When a natural lash matures and falls out, a new lash has already been growing and quickly replaces it without noticing the turnover. This process is constant and at any given moment our many natural lashes are at different stages of maturity. Some are just growing in, while others are ready to shed. People typically shed between 1 and 5 natural lashes each day, depending on their individual growth cycles. With proper care and maintenance, touch-ups are typically every 2 to 3 weeks to replace the lashes.
QHow do they feel and what do they look like?
Eyelash extensions feel and look completely real. They move with your natural lashes. We customize to apply extensions to suit each individual. To select a lash that is 1.5 times longer than your own lash will provide the most natural look. The thickness is determined by the condition and thickness of your own natural lashes. The overall effect is added curl thickness and length. As long as you keep up with the touch-up application, it is almost impossible to tell that you are wearing the extensions.
QHow long does the procedure take?
It generally takes between 90 to 120minutes to apply a full set of eyelash extensions. A touch-up can be done in 60 minutes.
QWho cannot have eyelash extension?
If you have had
- Permed eyelashes within the past 3 months. The curl is too strong and synthetic lashes will not fit
on your natural lash.
- Lash tinting within the past week
- Permanent make-up procedures within the past month
- Lasik or vison correcting surgery within the past 2 months
If you have any allergies or an eye disease, we are not able to apply eyelash extensions. Known allergies or previous allergic reaction to bandages or any type of adhesives. If you are pregnant.
QCan I use mascara?
Mascara is not recommended. Removing mascara can be damaging for eyelash extensions. When it is necessary, use the special mascara for eyelash extensions. Enjoyment without mascara with no more running, streaking, or smudging is fantastic!
QCan I still wear eye makeup?
You can use eyeliner and eye shadow as usual. Soft gel liner or liquid liner is recommended as they can be gently applied on the roots of your lashes. Avoid hard pencil type liners. If eyelashes are covered with eyeshadow or foundation, wipe gently with water or an oil-free cleansing soaked Q-tip covered with tissue.
